The Glass Onion restaurant will celebrate their featured wine for February – Vistandes Malbec – with a sampling on Monday, February 1st. from 5 to 8 p.m.

Co-owner Sarah O’Kelley will offer a taste of this intriguing Argentine red wine to all interested diners.

Located in the Mendoza region of Argentina, Vistandes is a sustainable winery. Their Malbec possesses bright notes of cherries and plums with a hint of licorice. The silky richness of this wine
goes beautifully with the Glass Onion’s local, grass fed beef tenderloin.

The wine tasting will double as a farewell party for Rita Bachman of Rita’s Roots.  Bachman and her
partner Riad have provided the Glass Onion with beautiful organic vegetables for the past two years. In February, they will head north to start their own farm in Virginia.

The Glass Onion is located at 1219 Savannah Highway.
