It's sour growler Tuesday at Charleston Beer Exchange (update: one last time!)

The Charleston Beer Exchange has announced that today is the day for sour growler fills.

Ever since they ran Petrus Aged Pale draft for growler fills back in August, people have been begging for it to hit the taps again. The draft version of this beer was a one time, commemorative release and the idea was to save the last keg for a while. With the Christmas season in full swing, the time has come to put a smile on all the sour-heads faces - specifically, tonight at 5 p.m.

The draft of this is markedly more sour than its original, bottled counter-part so if you are a fan of barrel aged sour/wild ales you do not want to miss this one! At 7.3% ABV and barrel aged for over 20 months, the flavor and aroma of this golden blonde ale are incomparable.

Petrus Aged Pale Ale gets a B+ from BeerAdvocate and a 96 from Ratebeer. That's a pretty wide swing between the big rating sites, so you'll probably want to judge this one for yourself.

Charleston Beer Exchange is located at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
