Poogan’s Porch is pleased to invite the public to ‘Celebrate the Season: Pig Roast & Bourbon Sip’ on Sunday, November 13th from 3 to 6 p.m. The event will take place in the courtyard behind Poogan's Porch.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Lowcountry Food Bank’s Food Works Program. This program is a hands-on culinary training program for unemployed or underemployed individuals that provides over 2,400 hot meals per week to hungry children and seniors in our community.

The event will celebrate the timeless Southern tradition of a pig roast. Poogan’s Porch, known for their fresh approach to Lowcountry cuisine, will prepare a feast of Southern favorites for attendees. Bourbon will be poured, as well as wine from La Wine Agency and an assortment of beers. Local band the V-Tones will provide the musical entertainment for the event.

Poogan’s Porch Managing Partner Brad Ball says, “I feel so lucky to live in city that has such a wealth of food and food traditions, but many people cannot afford this luxury. The Lowcountry Food Bank is a wonderful organization that helps so many of our neighbors and we at Poogan’s Porch are happy to organize an event that benefits the organization and our community.”

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets include entrance as well as all food and drink.
