Rare Beer Tuesday, Belgian-style
Image by Flickr user Eric Nixon
Rare Beer Tuesday at the Charleston Beer Exchange is always more fun when you know it's your only chance at a beer in all of South Carolina. That's this case this week as the Belgian-style Pale Ale from Cooperstown, NY's Brewery Ommegang hits the growler station at 5 p.m.
Here's the commercial description, by way of the CBX blog:
This fine pale ale has citrus and tropical fruit aromatics shared with a well-balanced - yet abundant - hop character. It uses our own Belgian yeast, five malts, two hops, and plenty of patience. Finishing touches include dry-hopping with Cascade hops and warm-cellaring.
This one is a very drinkable 6.2% ABV. With only 3 Ratebeer reviews there's not enough there for a score, and I couldn't even find the thing on BeerAdvocate. So get your rare on this St. Patrick's Day and rate it!
Charleston Beer Exchange lives at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
