Rare Beer Tuesday welcomes Barrel-aged People's Porter

At 5 p.m. this Tuesday, the Charleston Beer Exchange posse is putting Barrel-aged People's Porter from Winston-Salem's Foothills Brewing on the growler station for yet another edition of Rare Beer Tuesday.

Prime your taste buds with this description from the CBX blog:

This is an absolutely delicious roasty & creamy porter to start and then it is aged in select, wet Kentucky Bourbon barrels to add beautiful notes of oak and vanilla.  This extremely limited, draft only beer is rarely available so don't miss out!

This puppy earns an A- from BeerAdvocate and a 92 from Ratebeer.  I can't find a reliable ABV percentage on it, but regular People's Porter is 5.8% ABV, so that should be in the ballpark.

While I didn't make to the Lowcountry debut of this beer at Coleman Public House in early July, I am told by beer-folk I trust that it's glorious.  And really, if you can't trust beer-folk I trust, who can you trust?

The Charleston Beer Exchange holds it down at 14 Exchange Street downtown.
