Updated throughout with lots more good beer info.

Three Piggly Wiggly supermarkets in the metro Charleston area will be featuring a very special IPA brew over this holiday weekend.

Each of the selected stores will have one keg of Ghidorah 8.2% Double IPA beer, a special brew crafted by beer/wine specialist and sommelier Nick Long. The craft brew was concocted during his trip to Beer Camp at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

From what I can tell on early Twitter reports this one's supposed to have quite an interesting hop mix.

So here's the catch, once the keg is dry, that'll be it for the specialty beer - forever. Bring your own growler or purchase one on site, but don't miss out on this special deal.

The kegs will be tapped at the 445 Meeting Street location on Friday from from 4 to 8 p.m, on Saturday at Newton Farms in Freshfields Village at 130 Gardeners Circle from 1 to 5 p.m. and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the store at 1981 Riviera Drive in Mount Pleasant.

The Post and Courier has the post with even more details as does the Charleston City Paper. If you'd like to know some of the history of how this brew was crafted, head here.
