Want to exercise that green thumb of yours or just learn about gardening in general? The prime opportunity is coming up on June 30th when the Charleston Parks Conservancy will be out tending to the Chapel Street Fountain Park.

From 9 to 11 a.m. the Charleston Parks Conservancy and willing volunteers will meet up in the historic park and assist in making it a beautiful place to relax and enjoy. All volunteers are asked to bring along pruners, garden gloves, a weeder and a garden bucket.

If you plan to attending, go ahead and let fine folks at the Parks Conservancy know by e-mailing Paul Wentz or calling (843) 724-5003.

The Charleston Parks Conservancy is always working toward beautifying Charleston's public parks, so be sure to keep up with their events calendar if you're interested lending a hand.

The Chapel Street Fountain Park is located just off Elizabeth and Chapel streets in downtown Charleston.
