Celebrate clean water at the 2nd Annual Water Ball

The Second Annual Water Ball, hosted by Charleston Waterkeeper, will take place on Thursday, April 21st, from 7 to 11 p.m.

What exactly is the point of the Water Ball? To celebrate safe and clean waterways through the Lowcountry--this means all that great water we swim in, fish in, and drink--as well as the public's right to enjoy that clean water.

Funds raised during the event will help Charleston Waterkeeper in its efforts to help protect local waterways from pollution as well as the public's right to utilize clean water.

Come out and enjoy delicious hors-d’oeuvres courtesy of Cru Catering, dessert created by Lauren Mitterer of Wildflour Pastry, and ice cream whipped up by Roots Ice Cream, all while jamming to music by DJ Jeff ET and Entropy Ensemble and bidding on a silent auction.

Advance tickets cost $50, and day-of tickets cost $60. Buy your Water Ball tickets here.

Events like these can be very

Events like these can be very effective in raising awareness on keeping the water clean. Getting people involved at any level is what will make things move in a good direction. People would learn what a biosafety training is about, how to stay away from big water contamination risks, what can they do to keep a clean environment and water. Let's hope we'll see similar events in other communities as well.
