Donate some time next week to help the Charleston Parks Conservancy beautify two of downtown Charleston's most beloved parks: Marion Square and Cannon Park.

Volunteers are needed On August 17th to clean up  the rectangular planting beds throughout Marion Square. Come and learn about the park, the horticulture in this historic park and assist in making this a beautiful place to be in Charleston.

Meet at the corner of Calhoun Street and King Street at 8 a.m. if you're planning to attend.

On August 19th, the Parks Conservancy will be meeting at Cannon Park on the corner of Calhoun Street and Rutledge Avenue at 8 a.m. The park needs some light maintenance, so why not work alongside gardening professionals and lean some tips of the trade - for free!

For both gardening outings, volunteers are asked to please bring pruners, garden gloves, weeder and a garden bucket.

Let us know you are coming by e-mailing Paul Wentz  or by calling the Charleston Parks Conservancy office at (843) 724-5003.
