First reporting: Are you feeling left out of the Occupy movement? Are you confused as to what the whole thing is all about? Well, this Friday is your chance to Occupy for a Cause.

This week is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week and the plan is to Occupy Walnut Street (the street that runs behind Crisis Ministries) to create more awareness about the issues of hunger and homelessness right here in Charleston.

Take your lunch break, grab a few friends and some canned goods. Fill the Food Rescue Truck with food and then enjoy some great food from local Food Trucks – Roti Rolls, Taco Boy, the Magic Cheese Truck, Geechee Island and Diggity Doughnuts.

The Food Rescue Truck and local food trucks will be set up and ready to go from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., or until the Food Rescue Truck is full.
