Eleanor Holmes NortonNortonA Democrat and supporter of Barack Obama, Norton, has appeared as a guest on The Colbert Report, where she discussed her endorsement of the democratic candidate with Charleston native, Stephen Colbert. The Post and Courierreports:
In an appearance on the program, she discussed her endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee. 'He will be your president and he will be my president, and isn't that just dandy?' Norton told Colbert. 'I chose the best person,' she said, adding that Obama will be 'a president who would fit this moment.'

She is confident that Obama will take the cake this Election Day. Her statements probably influence many Americans given that she is a favorite in the Congressional House.
