Ahead of the local November 8 elections the debate season is hitting full swing in the cities of North Charleston and Charleston.

Debates held:

Yesterday, October 11, North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey and Chris Collins spared with one of the highlight issues being the role of police in schools; The Post and Courier has a nice report as does ABC News 4.

Before the mayoral debate candidates for North Charleston council districts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9 debated; I'm still looking for a report on this, but here's an overview of who's running.

City of Charleston Mayor Joe Rilley spared with three contenders that couldn't pass on the chance to say a 10th term for the mayor is too much; The Post and Courier has a nice report.
