On Thursday, July 14th, gay rights advocate Donna Red Wing will give a free talk at the Charleston Marriott.

Red Wing was once called "the most dangerous woman in America" by the Christian Coalition during debates centered around marriage equality, and her work is nationally renowned.

Red Wing is the executive director of Grassroots Leadership, a non-profit organization based out of Charlotte. She has also worked with the Gill Foundation, the Interfaith Alliance, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, and the Human Rights Campaign.

During Thursday's talk, Red Wing will discuss building bridges and working together to accomplish a goal.

Interested in hearing Red Wing's talk? Swing by the Marriott at 170 Lockwood Drive at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday and enjoy hors d'ouevers and a cash bar.

And, in the meantime, get more information about the talk over at Charleston City Paper's report here.
