Running, oysters and conservation - oh my! It's time again for the annual Race & Roast 5K trail run.

Scheduled for February 24th, the 5K Trail Run is predominantly on hard packed dirt trails or road, winds through the preserved forest and finishes on the avenue of oaks lining the main drive of Oakland Plantation. You can check out the course map to get a visual. Walkers and rough terrain strollers are welcome.

The Race is capped at 350 and will likely sell out, so register early! If you register before Febrary 10th, you'll get $5 off the registration fee.

After the race, participants are invited to enjoy live music, local oysters, hot dogs, meat and veggie chili, and coleslaw. Those 21 and older may enjoy unlimited wine and Palmetto Brewing beers.
