First reporting: Start your St. Patrick’s Day a week early with roller derby girls who won’t pinch but who promise to hip check and booty block one another all over the track. Join the Lowcountry Highrollers for 'Four-Leaf Clobber' on March 10.

Fresh off two victories at their season-opener bout against the Charlotte Roller Girls, the Highrollers All Stars and Bruisin’ Betties invite you to another double-header at The Citadel's McAlister Field House, 171 Moultrie Street in downtown Charleston. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the Bruisin’ Betties start the action in a bout against the Gate City Roller Girls from Greensboro, N.C., at 4:30 p.m. The Lowcountry Highrollers All Stars take on the Classic City Rollergirls from Athens, Ga., at 6 p.m.

We’ll have beer and music, plus fun for the kids all day and great raffle prizes. Keep partying after the final whistle at the Music Farm downtown.

Bout admission is $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Children 10 and younger get in free. A portion of proceeds will benefit Greyhound Pets of America, which adopts the dogs – many of which are retired racers -- into loving homes.

Buy advance tickets from any roller girl, East West Health Arts and Hot Wheels on James Island; Mama Q’s Kitchen on Johns Island; Red’s Icehouse in Mount Pleasant; City Lights Coffee, Rogue Wave Surf Shop and the Recovery Room downtown; Tin Roof in West Ashley; EVO Pizzeria in North Charleston; Two Keys Tavern in Goose Creek; or online. Now you can buy VIP tickets online, too, for $40.
