The Lowcountry Highrollers are finishing out the 2012 home season with a battle for national rankings in an intimate setting on October 27.

The Highrollers All-Stars will welcome the River City Roller Girls’ A-team, Poe’s Punishers, from Richmond, VA, at 6 p.m. This special bout is taking place in downtown Charleston's Memminger Auditorium - a first in derby history!

Come early and watch as the Highrollers’ Bruisin’ Betties seek revenge on River City’s Uncivil Warriors for the Warriors’ victory on the Betties’ home track last season. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the first whistle blows at 5 p.m.

Additional entertainment at the bout includes beer and music, fun for the kids, great raffle prizes and a Halloween costume contest. The College of Charleston’s acapella group, Trippintones, promise to keep things lively during halftime.

Bout admission is $10 in advance and $14 at the door. Advance ticket sales are limited, so get yours today. A portion of proceeds will benefit Teen Health Leadership Program, a collaboration between St. John’s High School and the Medical University of South Carolina to promote health literacy, leadership and careers in minority students.
