The Coastal Carolina University Band Program will showcase a variety of music at the Seventh Annual Spectrum Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7th, at Wheelwright Auditorium.
James L. Tully, professor of music and director of bands, leads student music groups for an hour of uninterrupted music. The event features everything from guitars to drums, and styles from classical to jazz to show tunes. The grand finale spotlights the CCU Symphonic Band as they perform "Danzas Cubanas" and one of John Philip Sousa's most popular marches.
The event is the first-ever Coastal Band Program fundraising concert. CCU Bands and the Office of Philanthropy have united to raise money for needed improvements to the marching band's practice field and for new uniforms.

- Coastal Brass Quintet, directed by Matthew M. Shrewsbury.
- CCU Spirit of the Chanticleer marching band drum line, directed by Jesse Willis.
- Symphonic Band, directed by James Tully.
