Food freebies abound today for veterans and the active military

In between all the Veterans Day events, find a few minutes to grab one of these freebies for veterans and active military.
- The big one is a free meal at Applebee's;
- Get a free Bloomin' Onion at Outback Steakhouse;
- Get a free donught at Krispy Kreme;
- A free dinner at Golden Corral on the 16th; and
- While not a food item, you can get a free cane at Sam's Club.
There's probably more freebies out there, if you've got more just improve this list or drop a note below.
