The National 9/11 flag will be at Myrtle Beach convention center today

The tour of the National 9/11 flag will make its way to Myrtle Beach and displayed at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on today.

The flag was destroyed in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks on September 11 and stitched back together seven years later by tornado survivors in Greensburg, Kansas. On tour, the flag is being stitched by one  local service heroes in all 50 states, the flag is being completed by using pieces of fabric from American flags destined for retirement in each state and restored to its original 13-stripe format.

FDNY  firefighters will be assisting the local servicemen in placing the patch on the 9/11 during the  Firefighters Association Conference. The event started at 12:30pm and will be open to the public until 4:30pm.
