The Sophia Institute Presents Women of Wisdom: Transforming Our Lives, Transforming Our World Oct. 6-9, 2011

Held Oct. 6-9 in Charleston, the Sophia Institute's Women of Wisdom convocation will feature Barbara Marx Hubbard, Joan Borysenko and more.

Oct. 6-9, 2011, the Sophia Institute welcomes women who are concerned about the state of the world to the second annual Women of Wisdom: Transforming Our Lives, Transforming Our World in Charleston, S.C. Held at Ashley Hall, This year’s convocation features renowned speakers Barbara Mark Hubbard, Joan Borysenko, Ellen Watson, Carolyn Rivers and Devaa Haley Mitchell, women leaders who feel that a lasting change to pressing environmental and social challenges begins within the individual and expands. 

We are living in a profound moment in human history,” says Sophia Institute Founder and Women of Wisdom presenter Carolyn Rivers. “More and more women are waking to their callings on the deepest levels and are willing to be catalysts to create a more conscious world. The Women of Wisdom convocation allows us to bring women together who have asked themselves these questions for a weekend of transformation, exploration and understanding that women worldwide are the largest untapped resource on the planet."

The global gathering of women will feature conversations, dialogues, experiential work, music and movement that focus on transforming lives, relationships, workplaces and communities to live and lead with heart and wisdom. The convocation opens Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at 8 p.m. with a concert, “Uncommon Sounds: Four Women Exploring the Feminine,” with Devaa Haley Mitchell, Laura Ball, Ann Caldwell and others. Cost for the three day conference is $350.
