The Flowertown Players in Summerville are holding auditions June 22-23 for the musical "Into the Woods." The show opens Aug. 1 and runs for three weeks. Auditions are at 7 p.m. at the James F. Dean Community Theatre in Summerville. You'll also need to bring sheet music and be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song.

- Cinderella, a beautiful put-upon young lady
- Jack, a somewhat dim young man
- Baker, a common man... with a common job
- Baker's Wife, his common wife
- Cinderella's Stepmother, a very beautiful (if somewhat mean) trophy wife
- Florinda, a beautiful yet nasty stepsister
- Lucinda, another beautiful yet nasty stepsister
- Jack's Mother, a poor mother of a halfwit
- Little Red Ridinghood, a young lady with a penchant for goodies
- Witch, the evil witch of fairy tale fame (heavy singing role)
- Cinderella's Father, a daft older man with a fondness for wine
- Cinderella's Mother, a singing ghost in an old tree
- Mysterious Man, an enigma
- Wolf, a fun (if evil) bit part
- Rapunzel, a maiden in a tower
- Rapunzel's Prince, Handsome Prince #1
- Grandmother, a sickly woman who hates wolves
- Cinderella's Prince, Handsome Prince #2
- Prince's Steward, a servant and all around royal snob
- Sleeping Beauty, bit part and part-time tech help
