Charleston is a a town full of history, but it isn't every day you get to see actually look backwards in time.

Luckily for us, The Post and Courier has a slideshow highlighting the history of the Charleston Naval Shipyard and Naval Base. The photographs depict life, drydocks, ship launches and more dating all the way back to 1909.
