Charleston Elves, a local non-profit organization that provides toys and clothes for children in need and offers additional assistance to families, launched their annual holiday gift drive on Sunday, November 20th.

The goal of the campaign is to provide a joyous holiday to over fifty children from the Charleston area diagnosed with cancer. The culmination of the campaign will be the annual gift-wrapping and gift drop-off party at Bambu restaurant at 604 Coleman Blvd. in Mt. Pleasant on Friday, December 16th from 4 to 8 p.m.

Lowcountry citizens are encouraged to sign-up to become an elf and/or make a donation. The children being served by Charleston Elves this holiday season are involved in Courageous Kidz, a local non-profit organization that provides support and programs for children with cancer.

Since its inception in 2006, Charleston Elves has received a great amount of support from the local business community. This year, {e} house studio, a local web design and marketing firm, has donated their time and expertise to develop a new logo and updated, user-friendly web site for Charleston Elves. The enhancements better connect the Elves to their adopted children and create a more interactive experience for volunteers and site visitors.
