Angry would-be tourists to the state have been flooding the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department with e-mails stating their disgust with congressman Joe Wilson's, "You Lie!" remark.

The e-mails are also expressing their newfound unwillingness to vacation in the state of South Carolina.

With Charleston being a strictly tourism based town, the question is whether Wilson's words will not only bring a blow to the state's reputation, but also the economy.

The Post and Courier has a piece on this issue.
