Brewvival 2013 was a muddy, successful mess (Updated: Photos)

COAST Brewing Company and The Charleston Beer Exchange have already announced that Brewvival 2013 will take place on February 23rd and now more details are coming out.

The craft beer festival will again feature plenty of brews, food and live music for party-goers.

Beers, musicians, and food trucks are being announced sporadically as the event approaches. You can get all the announcements at the official website, but Holy City Sinner has also been rounding up the details; check them out here.

If you don't have tickets yet, we suggest buying them soon as sales will be more limited this year. Tickets are $70 online or $65 cash in person at Coast the Charleston Beer Exchange.

Update 1, February 22: Brewvival is a rain or shine event, and unfortunately, this year it's looking like rain.

With a 90% chance of rain on Saturday, organizers are working to keep you as dry as possible while you whet your whistles. Additional tent coverage will be set up, but everyone should still expect to have a damp day and dress appropriately. The ground will likely get muddy so that means rain boots, rain coats and umbrellas (if you're willing to give up a beer holding hand that is).

Here's the deal on bringing your own pop-tents:

That said, we will allow people to set them up in a designated area at the far end of the field.  Only this area may be used and if it gets full before you set up, you will not be able to put your tent up.  Please also note that doing so is at your own risk.  Please take all precaution to make your tent secure if you should choose to set up.

Update 2, February 26: the Charleston City Paper has a great compilation of pictures and tweets that really sums up Brewvival 2013 - mud, mud more mud and great beer.

Check 'em out.
