Quick and convenient: Sullivan's Island corner store offers much

If you're headed to the beach at Sullivan's Island and need to get food, drinks or something from the misc. category, The Green Heron may be the perfect corner store.

The Island Eye News points out:
The corner store from your childhood still exists. Green Heron serves homemade chicken salad (with or without pineapple), signature hot dogs, shaved ice and hearty wraps along side a wide range of grocery items, t-shirts, novelties, candy, household goods, beach items, local books and crafts, as well as a well-rounded wine and beer selection.

Prices are reasonable, running a few dollars for hot dogs and $6-$7 for sandwiches. They even offer a couple of picnic benches to dine at.

Granted, it's no full service restaurant like Poe's Tavern or Dunleavy's Pub, but sometimes its more about grabbing something and focusing on the beach.

I should also mention there's a fairly well stocked gas station that's good for a candy bar or Tylenol but don't expect too much in the realm of shaved ice of prepared food. The gas station is also on the same street as The Green Heron, Middle Street.
