Update October 2: Saturday afternoon's lamb and pig roast at Two Boroughs Larder was jam packed with friends, food, great music and good cheer.

The $10 plates of food were selling like hot cakes. So hot in fact that by 3 p.m. there was no more lamb to be had! The generous portions paired well with $1 draught beers and $2 glasses of wine. Despite a large turnout, there was room to move, extra seating outside to accomodate the hungry masses and solid service from the Two Boroughs crew.

We had the chance to stop by and snap some photos from the event which have been posted above in a slideshow format.

First reporting: Two Boroughs Larder, the undeniably delicious and locally owned restaurant at 186 Coming Street is throwing a vegetarian-friendly pig and lamb roast on Saturday afternoon.

Vegetarian-friendly pig and lamb roast? Yep, that's right. For $10 a plate you can get your fill of meat and vegetarian sides, or, you can skip the meat and just get down on the sides. Whichever path you choose, your palate will be pleased - Two Boroughs does food right. So right in fact, that the food served up by co-owners Josh and Heather Keeler has me wondering if I'm suffering from a full-on addiction.

In addition to $10 plates of food, they'll be offering up $1 draft beers and $2 glasses of wine. As if that wasn't enough to draw you in, there will be live music by local singer/acoustic guitarist Jim Algar.

The Charleston City Paper's Stephanie Barna shares my love for Two Boroughs Larder and has a lengthier write-up on the event. She delves into dishes she hopes to see at the event as well. Go check it out, and be sure to head out to Two Boroughs on October 1st between 12 and 4 p.m.
