Downtown Charleston is an area not known for being casual and easy on the pocket book.

That's why I'm so glad to see The Recovery Room has managed to hang on and thrive for well over a year now. The bar is about as distinctly non-Charleston as you can get -- including its next-to-an-overpas location. 

And it's still close enough to downtown to fit into a night of bar hoping. But, I digress.
