A new restaurant featuring Lowcountry (re: good ol' southern food) is cuisine opening at Broadway at the Beach.

Sweet Carolina’s Lowcountry Grill and Smoke House is replacing State Fair Fun Foods, which specialized in foods that were made famous at state fairs. Sadly, locals and tourists weren't into awesome corndogs that were 13 inches long or tasty funnel cakes.

According to The Sun News, the restaurant will serve, "shrimp and grits, smoked prime rib and brisket, chicken entrees, wraps, salads and desserts such as bread pudding and pineapple upside down cake. Prices range from about $6 to $7 for an appetizer to about $10 for a sandwich or burger up to $18 to $20 for a steak."
