Louie’s Kids Announces Launch of New Bridge Run Program

Louie’s Kids begins registration and volunteer search for new Meet Under The Bridge To Get Over It program

CHARLESTON, S.C. (December 18, 2014) – Louie’s Kids, a national nonprofit helping to treat childhood obesity and promote a healthier more productive lifestyle, announces a new program to prepare children and parents for the 38th Annual Cooper River Bridge Run on March 28th, 2015. The Meet Under the Bridge to Get Over It program is designed for families of any physical fitness level to come together and get fit in a 10-week course prior to the 10K Run. The program, taught by local volunteers in the health and fitness community, employs strength training and running to work on overall fitness and help participants reach their individual goal for the Bridge Run.

“The focus of the program is simple. Families getting fit, and doing so together,” said Louis Yuhasz, Founder and CEO of Louie’s Kids. “The Bridge Run is a major draw for visitors in our area looking for a fun and healthy family activity, but it is something that most of these children miss out on. We want to make sure any child with a desire to participate has the support they need.”
