On Friday GM announced it's first half of some 2,400 planned dealership closures.

Read more stories on this subject in our dealership topic page.GM, however, is not releasing a list of those dealers. So far only two South Carolina dealerships have been confirmed to close -- none of which are in the Charleston area.

The 1,100 dealerships that are to be closed in the first round have been described by GM as "underperforming and [having a] very small sales volume."
