More manufacturing jobs, solid income growth, and more are on Charleston's economic pedestal for next year?

They are if you agree with how University of South Carolina research economist Joey Von Nessen draws his conclusions.

The Post and Courier's Warren Wise has a nice report on what and why Nessen's thinking what 2011 has in store for Charleston; take a read here.

But, as a reminder, just like the weather forecast will tell you it will be 51 degrees and sunny on Monday, these economic forecasts are hardly a sure thing.

If you liked that story, you may also want to check out a piece by Charleston Magazine from earlier this year that recaps the last 30 years of economic development in Charleston.
