Eight downtown homes peppered throughout the Peninsula have been robbed in the early morning hours, with robbers entering the homes and taking items before the residents had a chance to respond.

And in similar, but likely unconnected news, the Planet Smoothie at 431 King Street was held up by four kids believed to be 10- to 14-years-old.
