Businesses, shoppers concerned about East Bay crime spree

Two businesses just one block apart on East Bay Street have been knocked over within the first two months of July.

The ever popular East Bay Deli was broken into on July 4th and 5th, and early Thursday morning East Bay Liquors was robbed.

The crook or crooks ripped the register drawer out at East Bay Deli on the first night, then came back the next night and dragged an ATM machine right out of the building. The suspects who broke into East Bay Liquors got away with a register full of cash.

Both robberies are still under investigation, but police don't not think that it is the same suspect.
