Man alleges retaliation by City of Charleston workers after making rape accusation

Update May 7: Nearly two years after the allegations of a childhood rape some 25 years back first surfaced (details below), threads of the situation continue to unravel.

While 48-year-old Keith Francis Gadsden remain released on bail on the charges new allegation have arisen against the city with the alleged victim claiming retaliation by the city after coming forward.

Update August 22, 2009: The school district has released Gadsden's paperwork to The Post and Courier, however the paper is still awaiting information from the city. Hop over to their site for details.

First reporting, August 11: Citing a need to protect a man's personal information, city and school officials are refusing to release files for Keith Francis Gadsden to The Post and Courier.

The paper wants to know what's in them as Gadsden was recently fired from one job and suspended from another job after another man accused him of raping him in the late '80s.
