According to the newly released City Crime Rankings 2010-2011 produced by CQ Press, the city of North Charleston's crime rank has fallen for the second  year in a row.

A few years back, North Charleston was ranked as one of the top 10 most dangers cities in the nation. However, in this year's ranking, the city has dropped to 63rd in the nation, just two slots above Columbia, S.C.

To take a look at the full ranking which lists 400 cities in total, click here. The Post and Courier has their own report which highlights this year's ranking as well as the ongoing efforts of the North Charleston police force.

Update November 24: The Post and Courier has followed with a more traditional report, I've also updated the link just above.
