Update August 5: Not much other than the names of the victims have been released in connection to the triple shooting that took place early Thursday morning on Charleston East Side.

All three victims, Cordaro Simmons, 24, Jermaine Gathers, 26, and Daron Everett, 27 remain at MUSC, but their conditions are unknown. It is known, however, that all three men have convictions for drug possession.

The Post and Courier has an update on the ongoing investigation; read it here.

First reporting: Early this morning, three people were shot near 78 Stuart Street.

The incident was reported at approximately 1 a.m. The gunshot victims were transported to MUSC for treatment.

Detectives, police officers, and K-9 units canvassed surrounding neighborhoods trying to find information and/or evidence this morning.

At this point, no information regarding a suspect or suspects or the victims' condition has been released. As always, we'll keep you up to date with any new information we get.

Head over to WCBD-TV 2 for their video report and brief or over to The Post and Courier for their brief on the incident.
