Recent string of assaults has CofC students on high alert (police ask for public's help)

Update February 3: The Post and Courier has a follow-up article which offers a better description and police sketch of the suspect associated with at least two of the three attacks on College of Charleston students.

First reporting: Female students on the College of Charleston are on high alert after a recent string of violent attacks near the campus.

In all, three assaults have taken place since January 21st. The third and most recent assault was Tuesday morning at 1:30 a.m. and the suspect also sexually assaulted the victim.

Police released a sketch of the suspect believed to be involved in the first assault on January 21st. He's been described as a white male, between 5'10" and 6'0" with a medium build.
