After a recent investigation, it was found that seven Department of Public Safety law enforcement officers were driving for work while their drivers licenses had been suspended, The State reports.

In some incidents, the licenses had been suspended for driving without insurance. The cases date back to 2002.

The look into driving records comes in the wake of Senior Trooper J.D. McGaha's actions.  

McGaha, a Horry County officer, was ticketed for going 131 mph and it was later learned he was driving with a suspended license.
