Reward offered in Deputy Dennis Compton's death
Pretty much everyone is reporting that a reward of $10,000 has been announced for information leading to an arrest in the shooting of Deputy Dennis Compton.
The announcement came at a press conference held by SLED and the Colleton County Sheriff's Office.

If you're up for a bit of interpretation: The move likely means they're having a harder time than they suspected finding out who did it.
Update August 14: The Post and Courier has expanded on what the reward means, and adds some additional details about the night's shooting. Here's a tidbit:
A next-door neighbor said last week that he heard one gunshot and then three distinctively different gunshots, but no vehicle.
