A 29-year-old man was shot and killed on America Street early Thanksgiving morning.

The victim, Herbert Harvey Jr., was shot multiple times and proclaimed dead on the scene. By 1 p.m., Charleston police had arrested his assailant, Delvon Antonio Collins, 21, of Aiken Street and charged him with murder.
