On July 31st, three locals took off on Darkness to Light's cross-country cycling quest to help raise awareness and encourage the future prevention of child sexual abuse.

The three bikers on the Pedal for Prevention tour, Landon Phillips, Mike Allen and Tyler Gilliam arrived in Santa Monica on Sunday with less money than they had originally hoped, but are still optimistic and with the overall results of their ride. According to The Post and Courier, they've raised almost $11,000 on the 4,300-mile trip and had people across the country talking about the very serious issue at hand.

You can learn more about their journey in today's update in The Post and Courier, or visit the official Pedal for Prevention website and check out their photo gallery, blog, or donate to the cause.
