A 'Stand Against Racism' and search to fund an African American Museum in Charleston

Charleston Mayor Joe Riley spoke about the persistence of racism on Friday at the "Stand Against Racism." The Post and Courier was there and has a short, but nice write-up; read it here.

That article closes with Riley calling for continued pushing on a long-sought African American Museum, but that plan is still on the drawing board as there's been much trouble raising funds for the museum. Something that the Charleston City Paper pointed out just a few days back.
