Charleston approves ambulance rate hike

The Post and Courier reports that while Charleston County Council decided not to raise taxes in general, they did permit a hike in the cost of using a Charleston County ambulance is about to increase by $50. It's the second time in two years.
The county has raised Emergency Medical Service rates to capture higher insurance reimbursements and pay for rising costs.
