Gone with the budget: Much of S.C.'s consumer protection

Like most of the state's agencies, the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs hasn't escaped the blood letting.
But pair a cut to consumer protection with a rise in scamming because of a weak economy, and you've got a situation ripe for problems.
