Dorchester District Two: Cut teacher money, fund road for football

The Charleston City Paper's Will Moredock connects the depressing dots in Dorchester School District Two Superintendent Joe Pye's remarks about not having money to pay for teachers yet still pushing for a road that would mainly serve high school football.

Somewhere I head that South Carolina spends more on prisons than education, though I have yet to be able to verify that one way or the other. If someone has links, I'd be much obliged.
