North Charleston's gambling cruise invitation still awaits a taker

Way back in October 2010 North Charleston OK'd gambling boats to dock at the city's docks in hopes of up to a $1 million increase to the city's coffers, but nearly two years on the city has yet to land one.

The story is much what you'd think: city leaders are still optimistic and place the fault of the delay on the economy's condition making it hard to raise capital.

I'll point you to The Post and Courier's report (paywall; read it here). You can also get a syndicated version of the story.
