#OccupyCharleston has a 'Solidarity March' through downtown Charleston

As the #OccupyCharleston movement nears their big rally to takeover Brittlebank Park for 99 hours starting on October 19th, some 150 members marched through downtown Charleston on Saturday.

The "solidarity march" started at noon and wound its way south from Columbus Street to Marion Square to Washington Park on Broad Street (see map to the right).

The rally was received as fairly well organized and free of public problems, a goal that Charleston organizers sought through advanced planning and organization.

As you'd expect many reports abound but the better coverage I've seen is over at Patch (get their report and photos here) and from members of the group themselves (see embedded video up top).

We'll keep you posted on the coverage and events that are sure to come and you can connect directly with the group on their Facebook page or on Twitter at @OccupyChucktown and their website.
