Dr. Anthony Parker has been voted in as the new superintendent of Berkeley County schools.

The Berkeley County Board of Education voted unanimously to select Parker from a pool of three candidates to replace retiring Dr. Chester Floyd.

Parker is the superintendent of the 32,000-student district Johnston County Schools in North Carolina.
