Charleston looking to consolidate schools

Charleston County's schools are up for possible closure if they aren't effective enough.

A plan by Charleston County's Superintendent Nancy McGinley would rate schools on a number of factors. No specific closure count has been announced, but the analysis is to occur of the next two months.

The idea was prompted by, you guessed it, budget concerns.
